Hyderabad-based EV charging startup Bharat Charge is expanding its fast-charging network to address the availability of reliable charging infrastructure for long-distance EV travel in India. Founded in 2024 by Pradhyumna Enugula after his EV-focused studies at TU Delft, the company initially installed individual AC chargers before shifting towards multi-charger fast-charging hubs in 2025.
Bharat Charge currently has 200+ chargers listed on its platform and operates and manages 80+ chargers, with DC fast-charging capacities ranging from around 60 kW to 480 kW and above. Its expansion follows three models: company-owned hubs, franchise partnerships and project investments, with individual projects requiring around ₹10 lakh to ₹1.5 crore.
Bootstrapped with an initial investment of ₹20–30 lakh, the company generated over ₹5.5 crore in FY2026 and crossed ₹7–8 crore in the first three months of FY27. It is also working with South Central Railway and developing hubs across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The Bigger Picture
Bharat Charge plans to expand into Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Odisha and Delhi, targeting around 1,000 EV chargers over the next three to five years.
