Rahul brings more than three decades of experience across wholesale banking, commercial banking, MSME and rural credit. Before joining Axis Bank, he spent seven years at HDFC Bank, where he led the Commercial and Rural Banking franchise and helped scale its agriculture and MSME businesses.
Earlier, Rahul spent more than 25 years with Citibank, where he rose to Head of Corporate Bank for South Asia and served on Citi’s Global Corporate Banking Operating Committee.
In his new mandate, Rahul will support Axis Bank’s strategy across commercial and Bharat Banking, with a focus on expanding credit, strengthening rural and semi-urban presence and building deeper customer relationships.
