RBL Bank has appointed Ashwini Kumar Choudhary as Chief Risk Officer-Designate, bringing on board a seasoned banking and risk management leader with more than 27 years of experience across enterprise risk, credit risk, market risk, operational risk, corporate banking, and infrastructure finance.

Prior to joining RBL Bank, Ashwini served as Group Chief Risk Officer at Union Bank of India, where he played a key role in strengthening risk governance, portfolio quality, regulatory compliance, and enterprise-wide risk management frameworks. His distinguished career also includes senior leadership positions at Tata Capital Cleantech Finance, Srei Infrastructure Finance, HSBC, HDFC Bank, and Bank of Baroda.

Over the years, he has successfully led initiatives focused on risk governance, capital protection, portfolio monitoring, business resilience, and sustainable growth across leading financial institutions. His expertise spans both strategic and operational aspects of risk management in complex and evolving financial environments.
