Amazon Web Services to Expand Data Center Operations in Telangana

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is set to significantly expand its data center operations in Telangana, with a focus on enhancing its AI offerings. This expansion in Hyderabad aligns with AWS's broader strategy in India and follows successful talks between Telangana's IT and Industries Minister, D. Sridhar Babu, and AWS leadership in California.

AWS has identified Hyderabad as a strategic region, already operating three major data centers in the city. The company plans to invest further in a new hyper-scale data center, critical for AI and machine learning services. AWS Vice President Kerry Person emphasized that the Hyderabad region will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of cloud services and AI in India.

Telangana’s government has pledged full support and incentives to facilitate AWS's expansion, reinforcing the state’s position as a leading hub for cloud and data center infrastructure in India.
