Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani has announced an investment of more than ₹4,000 crore in the proposed Adani Arogya Mandir, a large not-for-profit healthcare project planned in New Town, West Bengal.
The proposed institution will feature a 2,000-bed hospital, a medical college and advanced research facilities. Around 1,000 beds will be reserved for economically weaker sections through government health insurance schemes. The project is expected to create more than 10,000 jobs across the healthcare ecosystem.
The announcement is part of the Adani Group's broader investment plans for West Bengal. The group has outlined investments of more than 1 lakh crore by 2035 across sectors including ports, logistics, power, roads, green cement and data centres.
The group has also announced support for the restoration of Kolkata's historic Writers' Building, adding a heritage conservation component to its initiatives in the state
