Enterprise AI
Accenture and OpenAI have announced a transformative partnership aimed at embedding enterprise-grade AI into the core of large organisations, beginning with Accenture itself. The company is rolling out ChatGPT Enterprise to tens of thousands of employees across consulting, operations and delivery, marking the largest group to be upskilled and certified through OpenAI Certifications. This move signals a major leap in how global professional services firms adopt, scale and operationalise AI.
Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO of Accenture, highlighted that combining OpenAI’s breakthrough technologies with Accenture’s deep industry expertise and global delivery capabilities will “accelerate enterprise reinvention and business outcomes for clients.” Fidji Simo, CEO of Applications at OpenAI, added that Accenture has consistently helped companies adopt the defining technologies of each new era.
The collaboration will introduce agentic AI into critical business functions such as customer service, finance, HR and supply chain, using tools like OpenAI’s AgentKit integrated with Accenture’s implementation playbooks and consulting frameworks. As Accenture begins positioning its 800,000 employees as “reinventors,” the alliance also expands OpenAI’s enterprise footprint, joining a roster that includes Walmart, Salesforce, PayPal, Intuit, Target, Morgan Stanley, BBVA and more.
