ASSOCHAM has announced the appointment of Mr. Amitabh Chaudhry, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Axis Bank Ltd., as its new Senior Vice-President. With over three decades of leadership experience across banking, insurance, and IT sectors, Mr. Chaudhry brings a visionary perspective that aligns with ASSOCHAM’s mission to drive inclusive growth, innovation, and economic resilience.

At Axis Bank, he has been instrumental in steering growth, profitability, and sustainability across the organization. Prior to this, he served as MD & CEO at HDFC Standard Life, where he led the company’s transformation into India’s most profitable life insurer and oversaw its landmark IPO in 2017. Earlier, as MD & CEO of Infosys BPO, he helped scale the business globally across seven countries.
