Hyundai Motor India has appointed Madhurendra Malu as Vertical Head – Genesis, a strategic leadership role aimed at steering the company’s premium luxury brand entry in India. Effective 16 February 2026, this appointment elevates Malu to senior management personnel status, positioning him to lead Genesis’s market introduction, brand positioning, and dealer network strategy ahead of its planned 2027 launch.
Malu brings over two decades of automotive industry experience, having previously held key roles at JSW MG Motor India, where he launched the MG Select luxury retail channel. His leadership journey also includes expanding dealer networks at Skoda Auto India and holding sales and strategy roles during a long tenure at Maruti Suzuki India.
The appointment coincides with Hyundai Motor India’s strong recent performance, including record sales in January 2026, reinforcing the company’s momentum as it prepares to cater to India’s growing demand for luxury and premium mobility solutions.
