Umang Agarwal has been appointed as Managing Director & Co-Head India at TR Capital Group, marking a strategic move as the firm accelerates its expansion in India’s growing private equity secondary market.

Bringing strong investment expertise, Umang previously held key roles at Eight Roads Ventures India and Boston Consulting Group. His experience spans enterprise software, fintech, and consumer sectors, positioning him well to lead TR Capital’s India strategy.

The appointment comes as TR Capital strengthens its commitment to India, including the launch of a new office in Bengaluru and plans to invest $1 billion in secondary transactions over the next five years. This reflects increasing maturity and liquidity opportunities in India’s private equity ecosystem.
