Nothing-Optiemus Join Hands to Make India a Global Manufacturing Powerhouse Manufacturing

London-based consumer technology company Nothing has entered into a strategic joint venture with Noida-headquartered Optiemus Infracom, with the goal of positioning India as its global hub for manufacturing and exports.

As part of this partnership, Nothing’s sub-brand CMF (Color, Material, Finish) will be spun off as an independent entity. The move is designed to accelerate research and development, large-scale production, and global expansion from India—reinforcing the country’s role as a leading destination for electronics manufacturing.

The two companies have committed to investing over $100 million (₹886.7 crore) in India across the next three years, an initiative expected to generate more than 1,800 jobs in manufacturing and allied sectors. This development strengthens India’s position as a critical pillar in Nothing’s international growth journey.

Nothing has already invested $200 million (₹1,773 crore) in India to expand its operations, enhance its ecosystem, and build a strong consumer base. The announcement also comes soon after the company closed its $200 million Series C funding round, led by Tiger Global, with participation from Qualcomm Ventures and Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath.
