Gainwell Group has announced the appointment of Anurag Srivastava as Managing Director and CEO of Parasea Coal Mine Project Pvt. Ltd., its flagship coal mining venture and the largest project in the company’s portfolio.

In his new role, Srivastava will spearhead the development of the Parasea Belbaid underground coal mine in West Bengal, while driving strategic growth initiatives across the Group. His leadership is expected to strengthen Gainwell’s vision of building a world-class industrial enterprise contributing to India’s economic growth.

Srivastava brings a unique blend of public and private sector expertise. He previously served as Partner at PwC India, advising on large-scale industrial investments and regulatory frameworks. Prior to that, his 16-year career in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) saw him hold leadership positions including Secretary of the Industry and Commerce Department, MD of West Bengal Mineral Development and Trading Corporation, and State Nodal Officer for major infrastructure programs such as PM Gati Shakti and the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor.

His appointment marks a significant milestone for Gainwell as it reinforces its commitment to Make in India excellence and industrial innovation.
