Deloitte Unveils AI Infrastructure Centre of Excellence in Mumbai & Bengaluru AI

Global consulting leader Deloitte has inaugurated a dedicated Artificial Intelligence (AI) Infrastructure Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Mumbai and Bengaluru. The CoE is designed to help enterprises worldwide build and operate specialised AI data centres, providing a crucial foundation for scaling generative and agentic AI solutions.

“AI infrastructure differs significantly from traditional CPU-based data centres, requiring higher power, denser racks, liquid cooling, and sustainable energy sources. India’s depth of talent and cost advantage make it an ideal hub to drive this global transformation,” said S. Anjani Kumar, Partner, Deloitte India.

The CoE forms part of Deloitte’s Silicon2Service AI factory-as-a-service initiative, covering the AI stack, from silicon (GPUs) to enterprise-ready AI solutions. It offers end-to-end capabilities including strategy, design, implementation, and operations, helping businesses manage cybersecurity risks, optimize costs, and accelerate AI adoption.

Mumbai, as India’s data centre capital, provides existing infrastructure, while Bengaluru brings skilled technology talent. Deloitte has already begun onboarding specialized teams in simulation, solution architecture, data centre design, and cybersecurity to support global clients.

“AI adoption is reshaping industries, and infrastructure is the backbone enabling scale. This CoE establishes the foundation for the future of intelligent enterprise infrastructure,” said Romal Shetty, CEO, Deloitte South Asia.
