Bengaluru-Based Defence Tech Startup UNMANND Raises $2 Million in Pre-Seed Funding to Accelerate Drone Innovations

Bengaluru-Based Defence Tech Startup UNMANND Raises $2 Million in Pre-Seed Funding to Accelerate Drone Innovations Startup Stories

UNMANND, a defence technology startup specializing in autonomous aerial systems, has secured $2 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Speciale Invest and Accel, marking one of the largest early-stage financings in India’s deeptech defence sector this year.

The capital will enable UNMANND to commercialise its heavy-lift drone platform Titan, accelerate the development of its anti-drone interceptor system Fury, expand its engineering team, and explore international defence export opportunities.

Founded in February 2025 by Yeshwanth Reddy and Hemaditya Prasad, UNMANND focuses on next-generation aerial solutions for logistics and security in defence operations. Titan, the startup’s flagship heavy-duty drone, has already been qualified by the Indian defence forces, positioning it for upcoming procurement projects. Fury, an advanced interceptor system, can detect hostile UAVs up to 30 km away and deploy interceptors at speeds of 300 km/h, enhancing aerial security capabilities.

The funding reflects growing investor confidence in India’s defence-tech ecosystem, attracting both venture capital and strategic interest. With its dual focus on defence logistics automation and aerial security, UNMANND is emerging as a key enabler of modern defence infrastructure while targeting opportunities in global defence markets.
