Niraj Bansal is set to assume the role of CEO – Ports at Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone effective June 1, 2026. A seasoned leader with extensive expertise in maritime infrastructure, port governance, and revenue administration, he will oversee the strategic and operational management of the company’s expansive port portfolio.

An experienced insider within the Adani Group, Niraj most recently served as CEO of Hazira Port, where he played a key role in strengthening operational efficiency and infrastructure growth. Prior to this, he held leadership responsibilities at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority as Deputy Chairman and Chairman-in-charge, contributing significantly to India’s port modernization initiatives.

Before entering the corporate sector, he spent more than 25 years in the Indian Revenue Service, rising to the rank of Commissioner of Income Tax. His appointment reflects Adani Ports’ focus on strengthening leadership capabilities and accelerating growth across global logistics and shipping operations.
