AppsForBharat, the spiritual tech innovator behind the Sri Mandir App, has secured ₹175 crore in Series C funding, led by Susquehanna Asia VC. The round also saw continued support from existing investors, including Nandan Nilekani’s Fundamentum, Elevation Capital, and Peak XV Partners.
With this funding, the startup aims to expand its footprint across 20+ temple towns like Ayodhya, Varanasi, Ujjain, and Haridwar. The company will establish logistics and fulfilment centres to streamline prasad and ritual deliveries, enhance spiritual commerce services, and introduce AI-powered features to elevate user engagement. Local hiring will support temple operations and boost employment in these regions.
The Sri Mandir app has crossed 4 crore downloads, enabling devotees to book poojas, make offerings, receive prasad, and access curated devotional content. Over the past year, 12 lakh users completed 52+ lakh rituals across 70+ temples using the platform.
During Mahakumbh Mela 2025, Sri Mandir served as the official digital partner to Vedashram Trust, supporting over 3 lakh devotees. Notably, 20% of users are international, from the US, UK, UAE, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
As the faith-tech sector in India continues to expand, Sri Mandir is positioning itself as a long-term digital infrastructure enabler for temples nationwide.
