Jai Kisan Acquires Kushal Finnovation Capital, Secures NBFC License to Boost Rural Lending

Rural fintech startup Jai Kisan has acquired Kushal Finnovation Capital Private Limited, securing a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) license in the process. This strategic move allows Jai Kisan to not only originate loans but also co-lend in partnership with leading financial institutions, including public sector banks across India.

With the NBFC license, Jai Kisan plans to design and distribute tailored credit products for farmers and rural business customers, furthering its mission to enhance financial inclusion in rural India. The company has already facilitated over ₹6,000 crore in loans from banking partners, including approximately ₹3,000 crore in FY24 alone.

Arjun Ahluwalia, Co-founder and CEO of Jai Kisan, emphasized the importance of the acquisition, stating, “The NBFC allows us to provide our rural customers with the credit products they need, when and where they need them.”

This acquisition marks a significant step forward in Jai Kisan’s commitment to empowering rural communities through innovative financial solutions.
