Indian Startups Raise $176 Million Across 16 Deals in Early July

In the first week of July, Indian startups raised nearly $176 million across 16 deals. Leading the funding rounds, fashion e-commerce platform Purplle secured $120 million, spearheaded by the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority. Agri-tech startup Arya.ag followed with a $29 million raise led by Blue Earth Capital. Video telematics startup Cautio announced a pre-seed raise of Rs 6.5 crore, led by Antler, 8i Ventures, and AU Small Finance Bank.

During the first half of 2024, homegrown startups raised nearly $7 billion, surpassing the $5.92 billion raised in H1 2023. The fintech ecosystem achieved a notable milestone by ranking among the top three funded globally, alongside the US and the UK.

This significant influx of capital highlights the robust growth and investor confidence in the Indian startup landscape, positioning it as a key player on the global stage.
