IBM to Open GenAI Innovation Centre in Kochi
IBM has announced the launch of its GenAI Innovation Centre in Kochi, designed to help enterprises, start-ups, and partners explore and build generative AI technology. The centre, part of the IBM India Software Lab, will provide access to IBM experts and cutting-edge technologies to enhance and deploy large language models (LLMs) for enterprise use cases.
Built on Instructlab, a technology co-developed by IBM and Red Hat, the centre leverages IBM Watsonx AI, data platforms, and AI assistant technologies. Clients will learn to fine-tune LLMs and partner with IBM to create customized, governed models for their businesses. The GenAI Innovation Centre will focus on addressing societal and business challenges, including sustainability, public infrastructure, healthcare, education, and inclusion.
"AI is at the core of IBM's growth strategy. The GenAI Innovation Centre underscores our commitment to fostering India's AI community and driving innovation through co-creation and collaboration," said Dinesh Nirmal, Senior Vice President, Products, IBM Software.
